Do you forget to buy cards?

Monday, December 6th, 2010 | Blog, Send Out Cards, Stay in touch | Comments Off

How often do you forget to buy a card till it’s too late?

I went to the newsagents today to purchase a card for a celebration that is taking place tomorrow. The date had sneaked up on me and I wasn’t prepared enough to have organised the card through my normal avenue.  The card cost more than double what I normally spend these days. I don’t begrudge the $$ but do recognise that if I’m going to be prudent in my spending then I have to be better organised and start planning ahead.

If you know in advance you need to send a card to someone, and I mean only 3 days, then you can get a card for just $2.99 printed and posted. And you can design your own card or use any one of the 15,000 templates that are available.

So if you want some choices without having to make time to go to the shops and the post office, click here to get started.  You can send one-off cards whenever you want, or you can open an account of your own and get the cards at an even lower price to be more cost efficient if you wish.

The thought counts, but only…

How often do you hear the phrase ‘well, it is the thought that counts…’? And how do you view that phrase?

For some it’s literally a cop out – they thought of something but never acted on it.  And they offer it as an excuse of sorts in response to a discussion.

For others it relates to an action carried out. They might not have been able to afford what they really wanted to get but in the end, it was the thought that counts. And it is, when it’s accompanied by an action.

How many times have you thought to do something?  Ring someone, send an email, send them a card, buy a gift, post a letter, only to find some weeks later you had forgotten, the letter is still on your desk, in your car, in your handbag, the email is still in draft format or you never got to the shops to buy the card or gift?

Well, there is no reason for excuses any more!  Not when you can use the system I use from your own computer. And if you’re reading this message right now, you ARE at a computer.

So, what’s the next step?  Try out a gift account at option 2 to see how simple and easy it is to use the Send Out Cards service.  Choose a card, write in it, click send – that’s all there is to it!  And we have gifts available too.

Now, with Christmas not that far away, and other celebrations too, isn’t it time you stopped procrastinating and took a few minutes to show you someone you care? Of course it is!

Use your promptings

Friday, November 26th, 2010 | Blog, Stay in touch | Comments Off

What is a prompting? It’s when someone enters your mind and you wonder how they are, or remember it’s their birthday, or perhaps you have thought of something that reminds you of a person.

However it happens, whatever the cause, this is a prompting and you are supposed to act on it. Contact that person, call them, email them or send them a card.

How have you felt when you’ve received a card out of the blue?  If you haven’t, it’s time you did and to get the ball rolling, why not send a card to someone you’ve thought of? Sooner or later they, or someone else, is going to do the same for you.

Promptings are opportunities to keep in touch with people – before it’s too late.  If you haven’t had the experience, you are sure to know someone who has, when they’ve thought of someone but been too busy to follow up, and then later learnt that person is gone.  Don’t let that happen to you.

Are you a wedding photographer?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 | Blog, Special occasions | 1 Comment

Recently I went to an event to learn more about using Send Out Cards in my business. One of the people speaking is a professional photographer and she regularly does weddings.

She shared how for years she’d been sending anniversary cards to all her past clients and continues to add to that list with every wedding she photographs.  She’d been handwriting these cards until she was introduced to Send Out Cards and learnt that she could have her own handwriting uploaded to the system.

Now she can create an anniversary card with a photo that she’d taken at their wedding, however many years ago, to personalise it, and write a message in her own handwriting and click Send to have the card printed and posted.  And it only takes a matter of minutes to do this.  It’s been both a cost saver and time saver for her business and continues to be a good marketing tool.

A good referral for me would be any wedding photographers you know.  I would love to introduce them to the same system for their business. Contact me today!

Database management + Virtual Assistant = good marriage

Monday, November 22nd, 2010 | Blog, Database management | 1 Comment

You are probably familiar with the term ‘Virtual Assistant’.  They provide a support service to business owner/operators in the daily running of their businesses. Anything of an administrative or secretarial nature can generally be managed by a Virtual Assistant (VA) on your behalf.

Databases are just one of those very items that can be outsourced to a VA. Whether it be a computer based database that can be synchronised/updated via email or upload/download or an internet based database such as Constant Contact, aWeber or 1shoppingcart.

How many people send out cards to their database of clients? If you have a business coach you may well have been encouraged to tag your clients as A, B & C clients and then maintain contact with them in accordance to their category.

A business coach I looked after for many years would have me handwrite greeting cards to her ‘A’ clients 3 or 4 times a year.  Had we known about Send Out Cards at that time, I’m sure we would have used the service then.

If you have a database and it’s important to maintain customer relationships, then you could get your Virtual Assistant to manage that contact for you through your Send Out Cards account.  If you don’t have a VA or an SOC account then why not contact me for further information?

Design your own Christmas Cards at low cost

Thursday, November 4th, 2010 | Blog | 2 Comments

How would you like to design your own Christmas Cards but not have to have a minimum number to print?  Just do one if you want but I bet you don’t!

I love that I can create as many different cards as I want and send them to loved ones, colleagues and associates and not have to do minimum print runs to achieve this.

And each card costs me less than $1.50AUD printed and posted!  Below is just a first try at what I can do with this system but there are tons of templates you can play with or create from scratch to get just the right look.

You could start with a retail account for just $49.00 and it includes your first 10 cards and postage included.  Click here to see other options or email me for a F.R.E.E. gift account to test it out!
