Are you a wedding photographer?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 | Blog, Special occasions | 1 Comment

Recently I went to an event to learn more about using Send Out Cards in my business. One of the people speaking is a professional photographer and she regularly does weddings.

She shared how for years she’d been sending anniversary cards to all her past clients and continues to add to that list with every wedding she photographs.  She’d been handwriting these cards until she was introduced to Send Out Cards and learnt that she could have her own handwriting uploaded to the system.

Now she can create an anniversary card with a photo that she’d taken at their wedding, however many years ago, to personalise it, and write a message in her own handwriting and click Send to have the card printed and posted.  And it only takes a matter of minutes to do this.  It’s been both a cost saver and time saver for her business and continues to be a good marketing tool.

A good referral for me would be any wedding photographers you know.  I would love to introduce them to the same system for their business. Contact me today!

Christmas is coming!

Friday, September 24th, 2010 | Special occasions | 1 Comment

I know, you didn’t want to know that did you? The reality is there is only 98 days left to the end of the year, so that makes it only 92 days till Christmas.

If you run a business are you in the habit of sending cards to your clients, your database, or perhaps some colleagues or staff?

Have you organised them yet? Got them designed, sent them to the printer?  Have you planned your Christmas card list?

No?  That’s ok – you have time.  And if you are in the middle of doing that then STOP! Don’t take it any further till you hear what I have to say.

What if you could design your own cards online using existing templates and then adding your business logo, or photos or other illustrations?  Fully personalised cards.  And then upload your database to the system, select who you want to send the cards to and then click on a send button?  What if you could also include your own handwriting?

No more need for printer costs, proofs, waiting for them to come back to you, printing off labels for envelopes, or getting staff to handwrite the cards and get writer’s cramp.

The whole exercise can be carried out on your own computer via the Internet.  Real printed cards with your own handwriting.  Real envelopes. Real stamps. All done online and after you click on send you don’t have to do anything else.

The reality is you could design your own card in anything from a few mins to a half hour.  You can then upload your entire database and select which ones you want to send to.  All this done without leaving your computer, your office, your place of work or home. No need to go to the shops to pick out designs or contact printers or go to the post office. No more writer’s cramp.

Interested? oh, the cost?  Each card printed and posted costs less than it would to buy a greeting card at the shop, in fact you’d get them for less than $1.50AUD each.    Click here and fill out the form for details.

Do you spend $00′s on Christmas cards each year?

Would you like to cut those costs and the time involved in organising those cards?

The system I use is fully organised online. Upload your Christmas list database, design or pickout a card of your choosing, add your message, company logo or images or photos, and then set the date for them to go out and click to send.

The cards are professionally printed on recycled paper and sent out with a real stamp. You can even have your own handwriting on the cards if you wish – there’s a simple form to fill out so your handwriting can be uploaded to the system.

All of this for less than $1.50 per card printed and posted!  I bet it costs you more than that in shopping for cards or getting special ones printed and then including the postage at the post office.

Want to know more?  Then contact me for details.

Looking forward to gift additions

In the US Send Out Cards has a number of gift options but that hasn’t reached Australia… yet. I’m told it’s not far away and I’m so looking forward to that addition to my Send Out Cards service to clients.

This Christmas I should be able to send a client a cinema voucher, or perhaps something from Gloria Jeans, or a gift card of some sort.  Such a nice way to say thank you to others and show your appreciation of their patronage of your business.

If you’re looking for something extra to send to your clients this Christmas, as well as an easy to use system for sending cards then why not contact me to find out how it will work for you?  By the way, cards sent to Australian addresses are printed and posted in Australia so you’re not paying international postage fees and the cards are on recycled paper.  A win-win for all and not expensive either.

Would you pay someone to manage your Christmas cards?

Friday, July 16th, 2010 | Special occasions | Comments Off

I saw a similar title in Google Alert recently and, of course, went off to view what this was about.

They were asking if you’d pay someone to write, address and mail your Christmas cards for you, and if so, how much would you be prepared to pay?

Naturally I left a comment, which at the moment of writing this post, is pending moderation.

However, let’s explore this for a moment.

If you were to go the ‘traditional’ way and either bulk purchase cards or have cards printed of your own, and then give your database to someone else to manage, you would not only be paying for the card design, printing and then the time for someone to manage it for you, but also for the postage as well.  I’ll let you work out the cost for yourself.

Now, let’s look at the system I use. Send Out Cards.

You could elect to purchase at the retail option. The card will cost you $2.99USD including postage – you can organise it online.

Or, you could set up a retail account and purchase the cards online, write in them and then click to send. The cards will cost you 49c per card plus postage of 45c (USD).

What about if you set up a wholesale account?  You’ll now get the cards for 31c plus postage of 45c.  Starting to sound better?

But, wait, you still have to design the card, write in it, add your database and then send them to print and post!

Easy!  Convert your database to a tab delimited file and add a group column ‘Christmas list’ and upload to the system.

Design your card by uploading your photos or images, even logos and add your text in your own handwriting which was previously uploaded when you established your account.  This may take you a few minutes to an hour – depending on what you decide you want.

Save the card as a campaign if you want to reuse it, or simply use as a once off send.

Next, select your Christmas list group or simply tick all the people on your online database you want to send the card to and then click to send.  Sounds easy?  It is!  Whether you have a 100 people on the list or several hundred (or more) it will take you the same amount of time to set the card up once and send to many.  Now, is the time and cost saved worth something to you?

If so, then perhaps you need to contact me to find out how to take the next step!

Sending thank you cards

Monday, July 5th, 2010 | Special occasions | 2 Comments

Do you have a big birthday coming up? Or what about a special celebration such as an engagement or wedding?  Or perhaps you’ve recently had a baby? Or there may be other reasons for sending out cards to a big list of people.

Have you thought about the thank you cards you need to send afterwards? Were you even planning to send some? Does it seem too big a task for you?

The Send Out Cards system makes the task easy.  You can design your own card or choose from the many thousands of templates already available. Personalise it with a photo of yourself if you wish.

If you have a spreadsheet with your guest list already, it can be saved as a csv file and uploaded to the system. Then you simply choose and design your card, select your database and click Send.  The cards will be posted to everyone on your list and you didn’t have to go to the shops to buy up the right number of cards, or handwrite them all or even make a trip to the post office to post them.  It can all be done in front of your computer in far less time – even if you want to use your own handwriting, which can be uploaded into the system as well.
